It ended up costing me $3.99, which is the same price as the Bacon Cheese Baked Potato (i.e. it didn't cost me extra to make the swap (again, it can vary).
Compared to the Queso Fries, the Bacon Queso Baked Potato seemed to have more queso on it. As such, I was able to get a more apparent spicy heat (although it was still fairly mild) to go with a more robust poblano flavor from the cheese.
Additionally, the potato flavor was also stronger and offered a bit of crispness with the skin (although it's, expectedly, no where close to the crispiness of the fries). The bacon also supplied some crispy bits to go with an enjoyable smoky and salty flavor.
Overall, Wendy's Bacon Queso Baked Potato turned out really well as it layered on some extra flavor and heat versus a regular menu Bacon Cheese Baked Potato. The baked potato itself also turned out well with a soft and fluffy interior and a crispy skin.
