Review: Jack in the Box - Classic Crispy Jack Wrap

Jack in the Box Classic Crispy Jack Wrap next to a quarter.

Jack in the Box's Classic Crispy Jack Wrap features a crispy-fried white-meat chicken strip or grilled chicken strips, shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar, pickles, Good Good sauce, and buttermilk ranch dressing, wrapped up in a soft flour tortilla.

The wrap cost me $3.

The Jack Wrap was folded fairly loosely and kept closed mainly by the pouch it came in. The flour tortilla was soft and pliable so I just refolded it to eat.

The chicken had a relatively thick, slightly craggy, and crunchy shell to it. The breading was lightly seasoned. Inside, it was moist but not juicy.

Compared to Burger King's current similar offering, Jack in the Box's Jack Wrap offered a comparable experience with the most notable difference being a heavy dose of cheddar (although this might have been a error in construction so your mileage may vary), a spare smattering of lettuce, and two pickles (instead of tomato) on Jack's part. There was enough cheese that a noticeable cheddar flavor infused the wrap throughout. The pickles added a watery crunch that was missing with the lettuce.

Overall, Jack in the Box's Classic Crispy Jack Wrap was pretty average as far as snack-sized, fast food chicken wraps go. The thing that mostly stuck out to me were the relatively generous amount of cheese (which, again, was possibly a mistake) and the presence of pickles.
