Cap'n Crunch's Christmas Crunch cereal is a Christmas-themed version of regular Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries that sees the Crunch Berries replaced with "fun holiday shapes."
A 11.7-oz box generally ranges from $3 to $4 (varies with location) but I received this courtesy of the Quaker Oats Company. You can also find a 20.5-oz box online at Amazon for $4.99 (affiliate disclosure - I may earn a commission if you buy something through this link).
The "fun holiday shapes" include snowmen, stars, Christmas trees, and Santa hats. While they look nice enough on the box, in person the shapes are quite vague and looks a bit like a random assortment of red and green pumice stone pieces. The yellow, slightly-ridged rectangles remain unchanged from the original.
In terms of taste and texture, Christmas Crunch are the same as Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries. If you've never had it, both the yellow cereal and the holiday shapes offer a crunchy, airy texture that holds up well in milk. Flavor-wise, they have a slightly caramelized note set over a toasted corn and oat base. Like Crunch Berries, the holiday shapes get the addition of a generic berry flavor with just a touch of tartness.
If you like Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries, the Christmas Crunch version might put you in a bit of a holiday mood, especially if you don't mind guessing what each shape is supposed to be.
