A 6.5-oz bag carries a suggested price of $5.69 but I received this courtesy of Frito-Lay.
The cinnamon-y toasted corn aroma out of the bag didn't hint at the spiciness of the popcorn but there's a reddish tinge to clue you in.
Upfront, there's a strong hit of sweet cinnamon to the popcorn along with a underlying buttery base. It's followed by a fair amount of heat. Like regular Flamin' Hot Cheetos, the heat built up quickly but leveled out at a moderately spicy plateau. It didn't not include the cheese and tanginess of Flamin' Hot Cheetos.
When it comes down to it, Flamin' Hot Cinnamon Sugar Cheetos Popcorn felt like a novelty product more than anything. It's the kind of thing you buy one time to try and then probably never pick up again. I can't imagine there's a very large audience for a moderately spicy and sweet cinnamon popcorn flavor but I could be wrong. It's not bad per se but it's definitely weird.
