The new cookies feature chocolate wafers embossed with one of five "galactic designs." Each wafer also include a cut out to peer into the creme layer (in case looking at it from the sides wasn't enough for you). The creme filling for the Oreo Space Dunks consists of marshmallow-flavored, dual-stacked layers blue and pink "cosmic creme" embedded with popping candy (to "create a supernova bursting sensation with each bite" according to the press release).
Oreo Space Dunk chocolate sandwich cookies are available for presale now from the Oreo website, where it's priced at $4.50 per 10.68-oz package. The new cookies will start rolling out to retailers nationwide starting January 31, 2024.
As a promotion to celebrate the launch of Oreo Space Dunks, they've partnered with Space Perspective, a spaceflight touring company, to hold a sweepstakes where a lucky winner will get to take a six-hour journey to the edge of space in capsule propelled by a SpaceBalloon and dunk an Oreo cookie while gliding through space (and seeing the Earth from space and whatnot).
