Shake Shack's Coffee & Donut Shake features coffee frozen custard blended with donut crunch and topped with whipped cream. According to Shake Shack, a 16-oz shake contains about the same amount of caffeine as you'd find in two cups of coffee (220mg).
The Coffee & Donut Shake costs $6.79 near me but I bought it as part of the chain's current Afternoon BOGO deal (i.e. it cost half the menu price).
The shake was creamy and sweet (but not overly so) with a robust coffee flavor that was very enjoyable. It was smooth and decently thick but easy to sip with a straw.
Unfortunately, the donut crunch was few and far between (I was only able to detect two bits in the entire shake) and not at all crunchy (the only sizable piece that I got was disintegrating). As such, I didn't really pick up on any donut flavor in the shake.
Overall, Shake Shack's Coffee & Donut Shake only delivered on half of the promise for me. It made for a very good coffee shake but was almost completely lacking in any donut(s) and was devoid of any crunch. I'd still get it again for $3.50-ish though.
