They cost $22.99 near me for a dozen but I received this courtesy of Krispy Kreme.
The donuts come in a special box with a heart-shaped window that previews the donuts inside and includes a space to write a note for gifting.
While the donuts are technically new, there's nothing new about their flavors as they're mostly regular Krispy Kreme ingredients but they're worth a look for aesthetics.
The You Color My World Donut is a heart-shaped donut filled with cake batter Kreme filling, dipped in red-colored icing, and topped with a colorful mix of sprinkles (including heart-shaped ones). It's basically the chain's Cake Batter Donut but with a different appearance. The hearts on heart look and color make it the most conventional Valentine's Day look for the donuts.
The I Love You A Choco-Lot Donut features a heart-shaped donut filled with chocolate Kreme filling, dipped in chocolate icing, and piped with a rose (red icing petals and green icing stem). I'm a little surprised that they didn't go for a chocolate-covered strawberry flavor for one of the donuts but I suppose plain old chocolate is also popular for Valentine's Day. The icing rose on these turned out pretty nice for a simple but elegant look.
The You’re Berry Sweet Donut sees a heart-shaped donut filled with white Kreme filling, dipped in strawberry icing, and topped with sprinkles and a candy heart. This one competes with the You Color My World Donut in terms of conventional Valentine's Day visuals but is slightly less so for the half decorated heart. I like the the candy heart is white chocolate instead of the sugar pieces they sometimes use for such decorations.
Finally, the Without You I’d Crumble Donut is a heart-shaped donut filled with cookie dough Kreme filling, dipped in chocolate icing, and topped with chocolate chip cookie crumble and lines of icing. It's very similar to the Chips Ahoy! Donut they once offered. In terms of appearance, it's probably my least favorite of the four donuts as it's a bit chaotic and not very Valentine's-Day-themed except for the heart shape.
