I bought one for $2, which is a pretty nice price for a churro.
The Footlong Churro seemed pretty similar to a frozen churro you might heat up in the oven. They warmed it up in the oven and rolled it on some parchment or wax paper with some cinnamon and sugar.
The exterior was crisp but it was a delicate crust that quickly gave way to a soft, airy, chewy, and decently moist crumb. Usually, you want a churro with a thick and crunchy surface but, to be fair, that usually happens from deep-frying and not baking.
Flavor-wise, the cinnamon and sugar were well distributed for a spiced seasoned flavor throughout.
The bottom line here is that Subway's Footlong Churro turned out decently as the flavor and interior were enjoyable but that churro crunch was missing.
