Available for a limited time, Baskin-Robbins' Mexican Chocolate Brownie features Mexican chocolate ice cream, Oreo cookie pieces, and Mexican chocolate brownie batter swirls.
At its most basic, Mexican chocolate is made of cacao nibs (also known as cocoa nibs), sugar, and cinnamon (although other spices are sometimes used). It has a grainy texture as it is made not for eating like you would a chocolate bar but for making a drink (like hot chocolate) or sauce (such as mole). Here, Mexican chocolate refers to chocolate with cinnamon.
Also this month, Baskin-Robbins brings back the St. Patrick's Day Cake for a limited time. It's an ice cream cake (made with your choice of ice cream and cake) decorated with green icing, a rainbow, and a pot of gold.
