Chuck E. Cheese Tests Subscription-Based Membership Program

Chuck E. Cheese Membership passes.
Chuck E. Cheese is testing a subscription-based family membership program in the San Diego area that offers a set amount of Play Points (which can be used to play the games in the play area) and e-tickets each month as well as discounts on food, drink, and extra Play Points.

The Chuck E. Cheese membership program offers three tiers: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Here's what you can expect from each:

  • Bronze, available for $7.99 per month, which includes:
    • 70 Play Points (most games cost 1 Play Points to play although some premium games cost 2 or 3 points).
    • 200 e-tickets to be redeemed at the Prize Wall.
    • 20% discount on food, drink, and extra Play Point purchases.
  • Silver, available for $11.99 per month, which includes:
    • 115 Play Points.
    • 300 e-tickets to be redeemed at the Prize Wall.
    • 30% discount on food, drink, and extra Play Point purchases.
  • Gold, available for $29.99 per month, which includes:
    • 300 Play Points.
    • 1,000 e-tickets to be redeemed at the Prize Wall.
    • 50% discount on food, drink, and extra Play Point purchases.

Interestingly enough, the Play Points and e-tickets are available with each visit but limited to once a week so you can get quite a bit of mileage out of it.

Other features of the membership program include:

  • One play card per child in the family
  • "Surprise" bonuses throughout the year, including gifts, prizes, and more.

The new membership program was inspired by Chuck E. Cheese's summer fun passes and is seen as a possible replacement for them. The family entertainment center chain plans to roll out the test program to additional markets this year.
