These are not currently available in stores but I received a 16-oz can courtesy of 7-Eleven.
According to the can, the ingredients are "filtered carbonated water and natural flavors."
I popped open the can and gave it a whiff and, sure enough, I smelled hints of grilled meat and smoke but not in a way that made my mouth water.
I took a glug and tasted fizzy hot dog water, which is what I imagine water would taste like if you boiled hot dogs in it. The sparkling water gave it a cleaner mouthfeel as actual hot dog water would be greasier. I did not pick up on any ketchup and mustard notes but there was a weird fried corn flavor at the tail end that reminded me of corn chips a little.
At the end of the day, 7-Eleven's 7-Select Big Bite Hot Dog Flavored Sparkling Water was impressive in that: a) they actually made it and b) it actually tastes like hot dogs. However, I can't see anyone actually wanting to drink outside of playing a drink-guessing game or blindfold challenge of some sort. It's a novelty drink for sure.
