Applebee's Introduces New Whole Lotta Bacon Burger

Purporting to have "all your bacon bases covered," Applebee's introduces new Whole Lotta Bacon Burger, which offers bacon seared into a beef patty, a bacon sauce, and bacon slices.

Available for $9.99 for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide, Applebee's new Whole Lotta Bacon Burger consists of a beef patty with applewood-smoked bacon seared into the meat, three bacon slices, tangy bacon sauce, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles, served on a toasted brioche bun. Classic fries are included on the side.

The concept is similar to when Carl's Jr. offered the Bacon 3-Way Burger, which featured bacon strips, crumbled bacon, and bacon jam, or when Jack in the Box served the Bacon Insider, which included a beef patty with bacon pieces mixed in, six half-slices of hickory-smoked bacon, and bacon mayo sauce.

The new burger joins Applebee's Handcrafted Burger menu, which also includes the Bourbon Street Mushroom Swiss Burger, Neighborhood Burger, Impossible Cheeseburger, Quesadilla Burger, Whisky Bacon Burger, Classic Bacon Burger, Classic Cheeseburger, and Classic Burger.
