The new menu items are essentially a mozzarella cheese version of the chain's Chicken Fries and feature fry-shaped mozzarella cheese sticks coated with a seasoned breading and then deep fried. Each order comes with a cup of marinara for dipping.
Burger King declares them to be "the Mozzarella Sticks you love, now made to enjoy on the go." It's unclear how the Mozzarella Fries are more portable than the similarly situated Mozzarella Sticks. The main issue with eating either on the go would be how fast they cool as you can be quickly left with a solid stick of warm cheese rather than a hot, gooey cheese pull.
Burger King's Mozzarella Fries can be purchased in 4-piece, 8-piece, and 12-piece orders. Prices vary but they cost $2.19, $4.89, and $5.39 near me here in Los Angeles (which is an odd bit of pricing as the two 4-piece orders are cheaper than an 8-piece order).
