The new Philly Melt is a Philly cheesesteak-inspired burger that features two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. patties (2 oz each), flame-grilled peppers and onions, Swiss cheese, and Savory Royal Sauce, served on two slices of toasted bread.
Burger King's Classic Melt (once known as the "Whopper Melt") consists of two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. patties, American cheese, fire-roasted onions, and Stacker Sauce on two toast slices. The Bacon Melt is the same only with the addition of hardwood-smoked bacon.
Prices vary but the Philly Melt costs $5.99 here in Los Angeles (the Bacon Melt is also $5.99, while the Classic Melt is $5.49).
Along with the Melt, Burger King is also offering the $9.99 Melt Meal as a digital-exclusive deal that includes a Melt of you choice, small fries, a 4-piece order of Mozzarella Fries, and a small drink for the price.
Burger King Melts and their associated meal are available now at participating location for a limited time through July 14, 2024.
This is not the first time that Burger King has offered a Philly cheesesteak-themed item. Previous limited-time entrees that have taken the same tack include the Extra Long Philly Cheeseburger, Philly Original Chicken Sandwich, and Philly Cheese King. They also offered an actual cheesesteak earlier this year in Argentina.
