Oscar Mayer Launches New Stuffed Hot Dogs

New Oscar Mayer Stuffed Dogs arrive as a line of cheese-filled hot dogs. The new hot dogs come in three flavors: Cheese, Jalapeño Cheddar, and Chili Cheese.

According to Oscar Mayer, the new line comes about as the "cheese dog" category is currently growing faster in sales than the "hot dog" category. Spicy foods are also trending up.

Oscar Mayer Stuffed Dogs are rolling out now to major grocery retailers nationwide in eight-packs for a suggested price of $4.99.

The idea here seems to be to offer common hot dog toppings inside a hot dog instead of on a hot dog. They should be less messy than a topped hot dog as it's harder for the filling to fall out versus toppings.
