Taco Bell's Crispy Chicken Nuggets feature whole-muscle, white-meat chicken breast pieces infused with a mild jalapeño buttermilk marinade, breaded with a crispy coating that includes bits of tortilla chips, and then deep-fried.
The chain is also testing two new sauces to accompany the new chicken nuggets: a signature Bell Sauce and Jalapeño Honey Mustard sauce. Bell sauce is described as "a savory and tangy sauce with subtle notes of chili peppers," while Jalapeño Honey Mustard sauce features a blend of sweet honey, spicy jalapeño, and classic tangy mustard.
During the test, Taco Bell's Crispy Chicken Nuggets can be purchased in 5- and 10-piece orders. A 5-piece order of nuggets includes a choice of dipping sauce for $3.49 to $3.99 (varies with location), while a 10-piece order of nuggets comes with two sauces and costs $6.49 to $6.99. The nuggets are also available in a combo meal at participating locations.
