According to Walmart, the Bettergoods brand offers "a new elevated experience that delivers quality, unique, chef-inspired food at an incredible value." It's meant to be higher-end but still affordable. The prices of Bettergoods items range from around $2 to $15 with most coming in at under $5. The brand is slated to offer 300 items this year.
Rather than focusing on affordable knock-offs of popular brand items, the Bettergoods line is meant to offer on-trend products that are unique to Walmart.
As such, Bettergoods items fall into three main categories:
- "Culinary experiences" - Trendy and "elevated" products such as Hot Honey Seasoning, Creamy Corn Jalapeno Chowder, and Bronze-Cut Pasta from Italy.
- "Plant-based" - Items include Oatmilk Non-Dairy Frozen Desserts, a plant-based cheese alternative, and more.
- "Made Without" - These products cater to different dietary preferences such as gluten-free, clean ingredients (i.e. made without artificial flavors or colorings), and no-added sugars.
You can find select Bettergoods products now in stores and on the Walmart website with the full line rolling out nationwide in the next few months.
