The new flavor was created in collaboration of Taylor Calmus AKA Dude Dad, who is known for creating family humor content on social media.
Mystery Flavor Twinkies come in a 13.58-oz box of 10 individually-wrapped cakes. They're described on the box simply as "golden sponge cake with creamy filling" and have the same appearance as original Twinkies.
If you're looking for clues to guess the mystery flavor, hints will be released on the Instagram accounts of both Dude Dad and Hostess. They will also be revealing the flavor on their social media channels in early October.
Starting August 1, 2024, and running through October 3, 2024, Hostess will be holding a sweepstakes on its Instagram account. Prizes include a year's supply of Twinkies, $50 Walmart gift cars, and more.
