Long John Silver's Serves Up New Crispy Waffle Fries

Long John Silver's switches from straight-cut French fries to a waffle-cut in introducing new Crispy Waffle Fries. It also launches a limited-time $6 Fish Basket deal.

According to the fast-food seafood chain, the new waffle fries are "expertly crafted for a long-lasting crunch that complements your favorite Long John Silver's fish, chicken, and shrimp."

Long John Silver's $6 Fish Basket includes two pieces of battered and fried wild-caught Alaska pollock, a choice of a side, and two hushpuppies.

The $6 meal appears to be Long John Silver's entry into the current fast-food value meal competition, which includes $5 value meal from McDonald's, Wendy's, and more.
