The new Chicken McNugget dipping sauce is inspired by Black Garlic Sauce from McDonald's Japan and features "notes of garlic and soy sauce, balanced with a slight tangy sweetness." The "Special Grade" of the name references the top sorcerer rank in the anime series.
The packaging of the new sauce will feature eight different lid designs incorporating characters from Jujutsu Kaisen. The characters include: Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Satoru Gojo, Kento Nanami, Suguru Geto, Mahito, and Sukuna.
McDonald's Special Grade Garlic Sauce comes free with any order of Chicken McNuggets but can also be purchased a la carte. Each purchase of the sauce unlocks a free 30-day trial of anime streaming service Crunchyroll.
The new dipping sauce is the second anime-themed sauce that McDonald's has put out this year. Back in February, they introduced Savory Chili WcDonald’s Sauce (you can find my review of it here).
