Panera Adds New Spicy Sandwiches and Avocado Toast

Panera continues its "New Era" menu changes by introducing two spicy sandwiches--the Spicy Fiesta Chicken Sandwich and limited-time Kickin' Grilled Cheese. Also new is Avocado Toast, which is joined by the return of Blueberry Bagels and Sesame Bagels.

The Spicy Fiesta Chicken Sandwich features grilled chicken, creamy salsa verde spread, aged white cheddar, zesty sweet peppers, roasted corn, and cilantro on ciabatta. It carries a suggested price of $11.59.

The Kickin' Grilled Cheese consists of American cheese, aged white cheddar, and creamy salsa verde spread grilled on thick-sliced Classic White Miche bread. The suggested price for the new grilled cheese is $7.49.

Panera's new Avocado Toast is available in two varieties: Classic Avo and Garden Avo.

The Classic Avo costs $3.49 and features chunky avocado spread and everything bagel seasoning on thin-sliced Country Rustic Sourdough, while the Garden Avo adds sliced tomatoes and garlic aioli to the Classic Avo and costs $4.49.

In addition to the new and returning items, Panera is sharing the "Bagels are Back Sandwich Hack" where if you order any whole-sized sandwich and customize the bread to a bagel (for 50 cents extra), they'll split your sandwich fillings between two bagels so you essentially get two bagel sandwiches. In the same manner, if you order a half sandwich and customize the bread to a bagel, you get a whole bagel sandwich (with a half sandwich worth of fillings).
