McDonald's Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry features vanilla soft serve mixed with bits of Kit Kat candy bar, freeze-dried banana, and strawberry clusters.
I bought the McFlurry for $3.89 (it was 10 cents more than the chain's regular McFlurry flavors)
The vanilla soft serve was somewhat icy on this occasion so the texture was lacking.
The banana bits were light in flavor and so tiny that it was hard to pick them out visually and by feel. I would have liked a lot more bananas.
Likewise, the strawberry clusters were also very mild. However, they offered an airy crunch on the texture front.
The most impactful mix-in was the Kit Kat pieces. They added a moderate milk chocolate note and that familiar wafer crisp. It felt more flaky than eating a Kit Kat bar though.
Taken altogether, McDonald's Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry, was my least favorite so far out of the limited-time McFlurry flavors they put out this year as it fell short in the "banana split" portion. It mostly just tasted like a Kit Kat McFlurry which was not bad but not terribly exciting either.
