Subway Introduces New SubKrunch Topping and Cheddar Cheese Sauce

Subway adds some new ingredients with the launch of a new SubKrunch topping, a new Cheddar Cheese sauce, and the return of BBQ sauce. The new ingredients are featured in three new Subway Series subs: Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken, Spicy Nacho Chicken, and Cheesy Garlic Steak.

Subway's new SubKrunch features crispy bits coated with a savory seasoning and then fried. They're meant to add an audible crunch. Despite the name, Subway recommends the new toppings for wraps and salads in addition to its subs.

Subway's new Cheddar Cheese sauce features a "smooth and creamy" mix of sharp cheddar cheese, American cheese, and a hint of parmesan. You can get it drizzled on your sub or as a dipping sauce for the chain's Auntie Anne's Footlong Pretzel and Footlong Dippers.

Subway's BBQ Sauce returns after a three-year hiatus and features a sweet and tangy sauce with hints of "hickory smoke, black pepper, red pepper and warm spices."

The new Subway Series sandwiches include:

• Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken sub - Rotisserie-style chicken, Monterey Cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, Honey Mustar,d and BBQ sauce on your choice of bread.
• Spicy Nacho Chicken sub - Rotisserie-style chicken, green peppers, red onions, jalapeños, SubKrunch, Cheddar Cheese sauce, and Creamy Sriracha on your choice of bread.
• Cheesy Garlic Steak sub - Sliced steak, green peppers, red onions, SubKrunch, Roasted Garlic Aioli, and Cheddar Cheese sauce, served on your choice of bread.

Subway also welcomes new Doritos Sweet & Tangy BBQ chips as a limited-time exclusive snack.
