Panda Express Debuts New Blazing Bourbon Chicken in September 2024

Panda Express will be rolling out its spiciest dish yet with the national launch of new Blazing Bourbon Chicken starting Wednesday, September 4, 2024. The new chicken option features a sweet and spicy bourbon sauce made with Hot Ones Last Dab Apollo hot sauce.

Offering a twist on the Southern dish of bourbon chicken, the Panda Express version features crispy-fried boneless chicken bites, onion, and bell pepper wok-tossed in the new bourbon sauce. To finish the dish, it's sprinkled with sesame seeds.

The new dish arrives following a successful regional market test in 2023. Panda Express' Blazing Bourbon Chicken is priced the same as the American Chinese chain's regular entrees and will be available for a limited time through December 2024, while supplies last.

Bourbon chicken is an American Chinese dish named after Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It's typically made with boneless chicken breast or thighs marinated in a sauce that includes soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and bourbon.
