Panera Adds New Baked Goods and Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches to Menu

Panera continues to change-up its menu with the addition of five new baked goods and three new croissant breakfast sandwiches nationwide.

The new baked goods feature regular and bite-sized desserts including:

• New Almond Pastry - A flaky, buttery pastry with a sweet almond filling. It is drizzled with icing and topped with sliced almonds.
• New Cherry Pastry - A buttery, flaky pastry with a tart cherry filling finished with an icing drizzle.
• Cranberry Orange Slice - A cake featuring whole cranberries, a sweet orange flavor, and a touch of sour cream. It comes sprinkled on top with coarse sugar.
• New Coconut Macaroon - A coconut macaroon cookie dipped in a chocolatey coating.
• New Chocolate Coconut Macaroon - A chocolate coconut macaroon cookie finished with a chocolatey dip.

In addition to the new baked goods, the Pumpkin Cookie is back on the menu for the fall. The shortbread cookie is shaped like a pumpkin and decorated with seasonal icing.

Offering another bread choice for Panera's breakfast sandwiches, the croissant breakfast sandwich selection includes:

• Croissant Bacon, Egg & Cheese - Applewood smoked bacon, scrambled egg, and melty aged white cheddar served on a flaky croissant.
• Croissant Sausage, Egg & Cheese - Sausage, scrambled egg, and melty aged white cheddar served on a flaky croissant.
• Croissant Egg & Cheese - Scrambled egg and melty aged white cheddar served on a flaky croissant.

Other breakfast sandwich breads at Panera include focaccia, bagels, bagel flats, ciabatta, and cinnamon rolls (for a limited time). 

According to Alicia Mowder, Panera's SVP of Product Strategy & Insights, "We are continuing to transform our menu in line with guest preferences and are excited to offer even more delicious reasons to visit Panera.  We are thrilled to bring these new croissant sandwiches to our breakfast menus nationwide, along with an expanded selection of delicious bakery treats."

To celebrate the launch, Panera is offering a "Swicy" deal where you can get 50% off a bakery treat with the purchase of a Spicy Fiesta Chicken Sandwich and a beverage for a limited time at participating locations.
