A $5.49 but I received this courtesy of Frito-Lay.
Compared to the green-flecked, yellow color of regular Funyuns, the ramen-flavored version sported a speckled orange-brown color. There's a smoky, spicy aroma paired with the signature smell of fried onions.
Biting into the crunchy rings yielded a savory spiced flavor with a slight heat over the underlying onion-y base. The mildly spicy heat built up to a more moderate level as I ate but never got uncomfortable.
Overall, Maruchan Hot & Spicy Chicken Ramen Funyuns were really enjoyable with an addicting flavor. The concept made me want to try sprinkling different ramen seasoning packets on various fried snacks or just eat some dry, uncooked ramen with a seasoning packet (my favorite for that is Mama brand ramen [affiliate disclosure - I may earn a commission if you buy something through this link]).
