Five Guys Adds Patty Melt to Menu

Due to its popularity as a custom order/menu hack, fast-casual burger chain Five Guys officially adds the Patty Melt to the menu so that you no longer have to specify the nuances of getting one made.

The Five Guys Patty Melt features two slices of American cheese melted on a toasted, inside-out sesame seed bun sandwiching a burger patty with toppings of your choice (it's essentially the chain's Grilled Cheese with a burger patty and toppings). You can opt to get an extra patty and/or bacon for an additional charge.

The Patty Melt already appears on the Five Guys online menu under "Sandwiches" but Five Guys mentions that if you don't see it on the menu in store to just ask for it by name.
