The new Mini McFlurry appears to be slightly more than half the size of a regular McFlurry (the McDonald's website lists the Mini M&M's McFlurry at 340 calories while its regular size counterpart is listed at 570 calories), which makes its introduction more like the return of the Snack Size McFlurry only with a different name.
The new McFlurry packaging loses the plastic lid and replaces the current cup with a four-flap cup. Both the Mini and Regular McFlurry will now come in the new cup. The change is part of McDonald's effort to source "100% of primary guest packaging from renewable, recycled, or certified materials by the end of 2025."
The new cups have been available in several international markets, including Canada and Indonesia.
