How do they differ from regular peanuts? According to Planters, Special Reserve Peanuts are specially grown on limited acreage in Virginia to be larger than a standard peanut. They're "hand-cooked" and seasoned for a "balanced flavor profile of salt, crunch, and creaminess."
A limited number of Planters Special Reserve Peanuts in a special collector's edition box will go on sale exclusively online at https://mrpeanutspecialreserve.com starting at 9AM (EDT) on National Peanut Day, September 13, 2024, while supplies last. The collector's edition box will cost $19.06--the same year the Planters brand was founded.
If you just want to try the peanuts without the special box, a limited quantity of Planters Special Reserve Peanuts canisters will be available from the Walmart website and Amazon for a suggested price of $9.98 each.
