The Tostada (1960s), Green Sauce Burrito (1970s), Meximelt (1980s), and Gordita (1990s) return starting October 31, 2024, while the Caramel Apple Empanada (2000s) won't arrive until November 21, 2024. The delay is likely due to the fact that the Caramel Apple Empanada has to actually be produced while the other items can already be made from the ingredients at every location. Each of the returning items will sell for a suggested price of under $3 at participating restaurants nationwide.
The Tostada was one of the original menu items when Taco Bell first opened its doors in 1962. It is a crispy corn tostada shell topped with refried beans, tangy red sauce, shredded lettuce, and shredded cheese. It's priced at $2.19 (may vary).
In the 1970s, Taco Bell's burritos were available with green or red sauce. The Green Sauce Burrito features refried beans, onions, shredded cheese, and a green sauce made with green chili, tomatillos, jalapeno peppers, and spices. It's available for a suggested price of $2.49 (may vary).
The Meximelt arrived in the late 1980s and consists of a melted three-cheese blend (mozzarella, cheddar, and Monterey Jack), pico de gallo (originally it was made with "fiesta salsa" which was still pico de gallo), and seasoned ground beef folded in a soft flour tortilla. It costs $2.99 (may vary).
The Gordita Supreme debuted in the 1990s (along with the Baja and Sante Fe Gorditas) and offers seasoned ground beef, reduced-fat sour cream, shredded lettuce, a three-cheese blend, and diced tomatoes, folded in a pillowy warm flatbread. It's priced at $2.99 (may vary).
Introduced in the 2000s, the Caramel Apple Empanada features a crispy-fried empanada filled with apple pieces and a creamy caramel filling for $2.99 (may vary).
Taco Bell will also add a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box (price may vary) that will include a Gordita Supreme, a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Double Stacked Taco, chips and nacho cheese sauce, and a medium fountain drink.
To celebrate the limited-time menu, Taco Bell will also be introducing Limited-Edition Stainless-Steel Decades Cups and Limited-Edition Decades Hoodies. Each item in the collection features designs ranging from the 1960s through the 2000s. On October 29, 2024, starting at 2PM PT, Taco Bell Rewards members can try and win one of 500 boxes. Each box contains a Decades Cup and a Decades Hoodie.
Rewards members will also be able to enter a sweepstake to win either a Decades cup or hoodie through a weekly in-app Decade Quiz. The quiz will run for five weeks. Additionally, five lucky winners will win the entire Decades cup and hoodie collection.
Along with the Decades Menu, Taco Bell will also have plastic versions of the Decades Cups when you buy a medium-size drink, while supplies last.
Finally, Taco Bell will be kicking off the new menu a day early at the Taco Bell restaurant at 7847 E McDowell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. As part of the event, the location will be redecorated with '60s decor and employees will be dressed in retro-style uniforms. Additionally, the first 100 fans who arrive starting at 11AM PST will get a randomly selected Decades Hoodie and Stainless-Steel Cup Kit.
