I went and bought one for $7.99. The pricing is average for similar fast-food chain burgers in my area ( McDonald's Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese is $6.99 while Burger King's regular Whopper is already $7.99).
The mushrooms were plentiful with a robust, savory, and well-seasoned profile. It was a lot punchier than I (vaguely) remember the mushrooms being in the chain's previous mushroom burgers.
The bacon was very lightly crispy, adding a light smokiness while the cheese was mild, creamy, and nicely melted. While I enjoyed the bacon, it didn't feel necessary here and I would trade it for an extra slice of cheese for more of a melt sandwich vibe.
Whoever made my burger seemed to have gotten their wires crossed as it came with Wendy's Ghostpepper Ranch instead of the garlic spread. While there was a bit of a garlicky flavor to the ranch, it was also moderately spicy. I'm not complaining though. The Ghostpepper Ranch offered a more complex flavor than garlic mayo and it went well with the burger.
The beef was juicy with a loose grind which lets a novel texture compared to the fast-food standard. The bun was soft and plush.
Overall, Wendy's Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger made for good eating. The mushrooms were well highlighted while the supporting actors were present but not overbearing.
