Wendy's Thin Mint Frosty features either a Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty swirled with a minty cookie crumble sauce.
I got a small-sized cup of each flavor and they cost $3.29 apiece.
The minty cookie crumble sauce offers a nice chocolaty mint flavor that was a notch stronger than most of Wendy's limited-time Frosty flavors. Additionally, there was a surprising crunch to the chocolate cookie crumbs mixed into the sauce although there were some soft bits here and there. However, some of the effect was lost as the bits tended to get stuck in the ridges of the cup as I tried to scrape them up the side.
Other than the extra crunchy granules, the Thin Mint sauce didn't affect the texture of the Frosty. It was the same smooth texture that sat somewhere between soft serve and a shake.
The Vanilla Thin Mint Frosty was more minty than chocolaty while the Chocolate Thin Mint Frosty was the opposite which felt more true to the actual Girl Scouts Thin Mint cookies. Both were nice but I preferred the chocolate version.
Overall, Wendy's Thin Mint Frosty made for a high-water mark for all the limited-time Frosty flavors they've put out. It stood out for its more robust, enjoyable flavor and added texture.
