The new McCrispy Strips feature white-meat chicken breast strips with a crispy-fried breading and "a bold, new black pepper flavor."
The new Creamy Chili Dip is a "savory, sweet, and tangy sauce" created to be paired with the new chicken strips.
McCrispy Strips can be ordered in three- or four-piece servings, which come with one or two Creamy Chili Dip sauce cups, respectively. You can also opt to get one of McDonald's signature Chicken McNugget dipping sauces instead.
McDonald's last offered chicken strips under the "Buttermilk Crispy Tenders" name in 2020 (they even tested having them made-to-order). Before that, they served "Chicken Selects" for a time. Chicken Selects were available as a limited-time item in 1998, 2002, and 2003. Then, they were made permanent in 2004 and were discontinued in 2013.
McCrispy Strips marks the first time since 2021 (when they launched the Crispy Chicken Sandwich that was later renamed as the McCrispy Sandwich) that McDonald's has debuted a permanent menu item in the US. The new strips are anticipated to underpin the return of Snack Wraps that McDonald's announced for this year.
