A Tale of 3 Jif Peanut Butters: Comparing Regular, Natural, and Simply Peanut Butter

Jif Peanut Butter comes in a few varieties, including regular, Natural, and Simply. If you've ever wondered, "what's the difference?" I decided to try all three (in the Creamy version), do a comparison, and find out.

Review: McDonald's - Cinnamon Roll

McDonald's Cinnamon Roll features buttery, flaky pastry dough layered with cinnamon and drizzled cream cheese icing.

Review: Chipotle - Carne Asada Versus Steak

Chipotle's new carne asada comes sliced into strips rather than cubed like their regular steak. It's seasoned with lime and then tossed with chopped cilantro and a "signature" spice blend. Since you can get two meats in the same burrito bowl, I got both their carne asada and steak to compare the two.

A Ranking of Every Variety of Thomas' Bagels

Apparently, the Thomas' brand was able to change National Bagel Day from February 9 (which was shared with National Pizza Day) to today. To help celebrate the occasion, they sent me (almost) every bagel they make so that I could try them all and put together a Thomas' brand bagels ranking. So without further ado, here's what I thought:

Key Lime Greek Yogurt Comparison

Key Lime Greek yogurt is a favorite of mine so I decided to try various versions of the flavor from three of the major Greek Yogurt brands to compare. I went with Chobani, Fage, and Dannon Oikos.

Frozen Friday: Lean Cuisine vs. Smart Ones - Chicken Enchilada Suiza

Chicken Enchilada Suiza or "Swiss Chicken Enchiladas" refers to the plentiful amounts of dairy used in the dish, including a cream sauce rather than a red or green sauce. It doesn't seem like the prime candidate for "healthy" meals, but here we are.

Lean Cuisine's Chicken Enchilada Suiza comes with sour cream sauce and Mexican-style rice, while Weight Watchers Smart Ones' features a "zesty sour cream and green chile sauce with Spanish rice."

Both weigh in at 9 ounces and were $2 each on sale.

The Great Brand Eating Chocolate Shake Shake Off!

By request (from last month's Request a Review voting; don't forget you can still vote for this month's Request a Review!), here's the promised fast food chocolate shake round up AKA "The Great Brand Eating Chocolate Shake Shake Off!"

I ended up getting six shakes in all from the major fast food restaurants near me (in a single afternoon no less; don't worry I didn't finish any of them, but I did bring people to reduce wastage).

Here's how it all shook out (ranked from last to first):

Fast Food Premium Chicken Sandwich Comparison

L to R: Wendy's, Jack in the Box, McDonald's, Carl's Jr., Burger King
With the recent debut of the Carl's Jr. New Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich, they generously agreed to foot the bill for a Brand Eating comparison of five premium chicken sandwiches from some of the biggest fast food burger chains.

Since tasting and evaluating five chicken sandwiches is a lot of eating, I enlisted two cohorts, T and R, to try them and proffer their opinions.

The Great Pizza Chain BBQ Wing Off!

Along with comparing the Buffalo wings of the Big Three pizza chains (Domino's, Papa John's, and Pizza Hut), I also tried and pitted their BBQ wings against each other.

The prices and wings were the same as the Buffalo wing comparison (which you can read here if you missed it), so I'll get right to the sauce.

The Great Pizza Chain Buffalo Wing Off!

Clockwise from the bottom: Domino's, Papa John's, Pizza Hut
Each of the Big Three pizza chains (Pizza Hut, Domino's, and Papa John's) has their own version of Buffalo wings so I tried them all to see which one would come out on top (I was pretty sick of wings at the end of all this).

In a fit of hubris or supreme confidence, Pizza Hut volunteered to foot (most) of the bill for the wings.

Let's see what somewhat logical but still completely arbitrary categories I come up with this time...

Head-to-Head: Burger King vs. McDonald's - Chicken Nuggets

Burger King has played second (and sometimes third) fiddle to McDonald's #1 for as long as I can remember. Most recently, BK has taken imitation to an art form with their new Chicken Nuggets, which are most remarkable in how much they resemble McDonald's Chicken McNuggets.

The two are very similar but which are the better nuggets? I decided to compare them and find out!
