Burger King Gave Out Free "Pregnancy Whoppers" at One Location in Germany for Mother's Day

In one of the more entertaining Mother's Day promotions, Burger King Germany celebrated Mother's Day 2022 by giving out free "Pregnancy Whoppers" to mothers and expectant mothers on May 8, 2022 at one location in Berlin.

The Pregnancy Whoppers are so-named because Burger King conducted a survey of the most popular pregnancy cravings for expectant mothers and, for one day, gave out Whopper burgers that featured the 9 most popular cravings.

The 9 most popular cravings (which came served on a Whopper patty and sesame seed bun) included:

For a limited-time, starting February 14, 2013, McDonald's Germany is offering their own version of a favorite German fast food dish with new McCurrywurst.

Currywurst is a dish of steamed and then grilled pork sausages ("sausage" being "wurst' in German) cut into slices and covered with ketchup blended with curry powder (i.e. curry ketchup). It's often served as take-out food or street food, but can also be found at sit-down establishments.

Perhaps to spite us here in the U.S., McDonald's restaurants in the U.K. have been offering a "Great Tastes of the World" promotion where each week a different burger is available inspired by the cuisine of a specific country. The promotion runs for four weeks and the four countries represented are Spain, Australia, Mexico, and India.

For week 1 (which started last week), McDonald's offered the Spanish Grande with Chorizo. The burger features a paprika topped bun, beef patty, chorizo, roasted red and yellow peppers, cheddar cheese, Batavia lettuce and a bravas-style sauce.

In a curious move, McDonald's will be serving up bubble tea in Germany (Is bubble tea big in Germany?) starting June 11 and running through July 1 at all 800 or so German McCafe locations.

Boasting over 250 combinations, McDonald's Bubble Tea will offer 3 choices of tea (with or without milk), seven flavors of syrup, 4 tapioca ball (boba) options, and two jelly options for 1,99 Euros a cup.

Burger King Germany is currently running a limited-time promotion called "Helden Vom Grill" which loosely translates to "Hero on the grill" as far as Google Translate is concerned. Since it's Memorial Day weekend, what better to post about?

There are three items to the "Helden Vom Grill" promotion: the Super Chili Beef, the Fantastic BBQ Chicken, and Tex Mex Cheese Balls. They all sound pretty good but my hats off to the Fantastic BBQ Chicken for the epic name. Who doesn't want a Fantastic BBQ Chicken?
