Review: Jell-O Simply Good Gelatin and Pudding Mixes

Jell-O recently released a new "Simply Good" product line that includes no artificial flavors, dyes, or preservatives. The gelatin mixes are flavored with fruit juice and colored with vegetable and spice extracts. The gelatin flavors include Strawberry, Pineapple Orange, Mixed Berry, and Orange Pineapple, whereas the pudding line includes Banana, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Caramel, and Chocolate flavors.

Just in time for the start of the college football season, Jell-O launches 16 new Jell-O University Mold Kits this month so that you can express your school pride (as long as it's one of the available universities) in jiggly form.

Review: Jell-O Temptations - Double Chocolate Pie

Jell-O Temptations are being marketed as indulgent relatively low-cal desserts for adults. Double Chocolate Pie is made with cocoa and features a layer of chocolate mousse atop a layer of chocolate pudding.

I've seen these on sale for about $2.50 with a normal price of $2.99.

Review: Jell-O Temptations - Strawberry Cheesecake

Jell-O Temptations are slightly more upscale, layered, derivatives of their more standard fare of gelatin and pudding. I recently tried the Strawberry Cheesecake flavor which comes three cups to a package on sale for $2.50 (suggested retail is $2.89).

Jell-O has something interesting coming out this and next month: new Jell-O Temptations. Fancified versions of their normal fare, Jell-O Temptations are available both in ready-to-eat cups and as a dry mix to make at home.

The cups are available now and come in six layered flavors: Apple Custard Pie, Double Chocolate Pie, French Silk Pie, Lemon Meringue Pie, Raspberry Cheesecake, and Strawberry Cheesecake. Suggested retail is $2.89 for a three pack.
