Review: Sonic - Holiday Mint Molten Cake Sundae

Sonic's Holiday Mint Molten Cake Sundae is new this year and features a molten chocolate cake filled with hot fudge and covered with vanilla ice cream, more hot fudge, crushed holiday mints, whipped topping, and a maraschino cherry.

It goes for $4.49 at my nearest Sonic but I received this one courtesy of Sonic.

News: McAlister's Deli - Upgraded Sandwiches

McAlister's Deli has upgraded and revamped some of their sandwiches with new recipes and increased portions in a line of upgraded and classic sandwiches they're calling the "Big Bold Sandwiches."

Sandwiches with increased portions are the Memphian and The New Yorker.

Jack in the Box is offering two new, limited-time sandwiches to add a little kick to the holiday season, but only to specific regions. 

There's the new Fajita Ranch Melt, which can only be found at participating restaurants in California, Idaho, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah.

Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookie & Cocoa Swirl Spread is new this year and similar to those peanut butter and jelly swirl spreads but with cookies and cocoa.

News: New Rold Gold Peanut Butter Dipped Pretzels for Holidays

Frito Lay makes a yearly offering of various dipped Rold Gold pretzels around the holiday season and this year, they've added new Rold Gold Peanut Butter Dipped Tiny Twists.

They're labeled as "peanut butter coated pretzels" but also "artificially flavored" so I guess it's some combination of the two.

Around the World: Lotteria - Cheeseburger with Large Cubes of Bacon

Japanese burger chain Lotteria takes an excellent approach to the traditional bacon cheeseburger by adding large cubes of bacon rather than strips. The rest is kept simple, but decidedly highbrow, with a black truffle cream sauce to accompany the otherwise standard cheeseburger.

They're calling it the "Cubed Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe."

Lay's Ketchup-flavored potato chips came to me by way of Canada. We really don't have an analogous Lay's flavor here in the US.

News: Burger King - $1 Minibon with Any Purchase

Burger King is offering a discount on their Cinnabon Minibons where you can get one for $1 with any purchase.

Minibons are basically mini versions of the original Cinnabon and normally cost about $1.99.

Krispy Kreme has a "buy one, get one free" coupon available for a dozen of their Original Glazed Donuts.

Krispy Kreme released the coupon after garnering 12,000 shares of their "Day of the Dozens" post dated December 2.

Frozen Friday: DiGiorno Meatball Marinara Pizza

DiGiorno's Meatball Marinara Pizza is topped with Italian-style meatballs, mozzarella cheese, and marinara sauce. It's part of their Italian-Style Favorites line, which come on a rising crust pizza with a "touch" of olive oil and herbs.

A 27.9-ounce pizza was $5.00 on sale.

Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurants will be promoting their new fresh-baked Buns this month with a "buy one, get one free" offer on Original Six Dollar Thickburgers (Carl's Jr.) and 1/3lb. Original Thickburger (Hardee's) on every Monday in December. They're calling the deal "Monday Bunday."

News: Olive Garden Adds a Burger to the Menu

Olive Garden is taking a step outside of their traditional Italian fare and trying their hand at burgers with the new Italiano Burger.

As the name suggests, it's a burger with an Italian flare featuring crispy prosciutto, fresh mozzarella cheese, arugula, marinated tomatoes, and garlic aioli on the standard hamburger patty and bun.

Review: El Pollo Loco - Mexican S'mores

El Pollo Loco's new Mexican S'mores features mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and graham crackers inside of  a 12" chocolate flour tortilla that is folded into a hexagon and pressed before dusted with powdered sugar.

News: Starbucks Offers Metal Gift Card for the Starbucks Fan That Has Everything

Starbucks is once again offering an exclusive, limited-edition, rose gold-hued metal gift card for the Starbucks fan who already has it all. There are only 1000 of these and they're being sold tomorrow, Friday, December 6, exclusively on Gilt.com starting at noon EST.

McDonald's White Chocolate Mocha is the newest addition to their holiday menu and features Rainforest Alliance Certified espresso, white chocolate-flavored syrup, and steamed milk topped with whipped cream.
